Rapper Lil Wayne Lists Miami Beach Condo for $2.8M

Rapper Lil Wayne has listed his four bedroom Miami Beach for sale. According to South Beach Real Estate Blog, he’s asking $2.8 million.

The condo is located in the Murano Grande on South Beach:

Judging from the photos of the pool (top left photo) and lobby (below), we’d have to say it’s a nice little piece of property to own. We also understand that it’s a fair asking price.

Wayne, of course, won’t be needing this condo right now. He was due to be sentenced to a year in prison earlier this month on gun charges, but the judge gave him a one-month delay to get some dental work done.

Will Whitney Houston’s New Album Sales Keep the Mortgage Paid?

Unless you’ve been under a rock, you know by now that Whitney Houston’s new album, I Look to You, dropped this week. So far, it’s been met with lukewarm reviews.

We listened to a little of the footage of her concert in Central Park yesterday, which aired this morning on ABC’s Good Morning America. Whitney was still not quite at the top of her game to us.

No matter though. Judging by all the fans who showed up, her album sales will be through the roof!

Good thing. Because Whitney could apparently use the money. Living with a drug addiction and that co-dependent husband Bobby Brown is what put her on the road to nearly losing both of her homes to foreclosure.

Back in 2006, her $1.39M mansion (above) in the Atlanta suburb of Alpharetta, Georgia — where Whitney and Bobby filmed their TV reality show Being Bobby Brown — was in foreclosure. Luckily she was able to sell it for $1.19M before the bank got around to it.

But who can forget this photo below from the National Enquirer of that bathroom in her house during the drug days?

Then, there were the reports that her $6M estate (below) in Mendham, New Jersey, was also in foreclosure for a period in 2006 because she owed more than $1M in back taxes.

Now that she’s ditched her two DH’s — her Drug Habit and her Deadbeat Husband — it looks like she’s on the road to an amazing comeback. Let’s hope that voice comes back too!

The Beckhams Consider a Home in Chelsea

In news from across the pond: The London Evening Standard is reporting that David and Victoria “Posh Spice” Beckham might purchase digs (shown below) in Chelsea in west London.

The home consists of two combined low-rise artist studios, with five bedrooms and a private terrace. The asking price is 10 million pounds (about $17 million U.S.).

Folks, this is the same house previously rented by record producer Damon Dash. We recall seeing an MTV Cribs episode featuring this place. Still trying to locate it to post it here. Anyway, wonder what ever happened to Damon . . . .

Thug Monday: 50 Cent Lowers Asking Price Again

Our favorite thug rapper 50 Cent aka Fiddy aka Curtis Jackson aka P.I.M.P. is still trying to unload that 50,000sf museum he calls a house (50 for 50, get it?) in Hartford, Connecticut. He purchased it from known arbiter of style and good taste, boxer Mike Tyson, for $4.1M and then reportedly added at least $6M in updates before setting the original asking price of $18.5M. After getting no takers, he lowered it to $14.5M and now it’s down to $10.9M.

Last year, he let MTV Cribs tour his 19-bedroom, 37-bathroom crib with 6 kitchens, a home movie theater and a disco, allegedly to give prospective buyers a peek.

Heard Michael Vick is being released from home confinement today. He might start shopping for digs large enough to house his posse and his, um, pets.
